Region H RHSOC allocates FY13 funding

The Region H Regional Homeland Security Oversight Committee (RHSOC) has made its funding decision for FY2013. 

At the July 22 quarterly meeting, the RHSOC voted to allocate funding for the projects that were prioritized following the previous meeting. 

The following chart shows the funding award for each of the projects, plus M&A for the RPC.


The budget will be submitted to OHS within 10 days of the RHSOC meeting for final approval.

    • Region H HSRT Decon Heater - Fully funded at amount requested.
    • NTA Ambulance Climate Control Shelter - Funded $48,562.05 to supplement FY2012 allocation of $35,224.53 towards the total project cost of $83,187.44. Remaining difference of $599.14 to be reallocated if necessary to pay for any price increase in original quoted prices of FY12 Red Cross supplies.
    • St. Joseph PD Rescue Equipment - Fully funded at amount requested.
    • Buchanan County Long Term Recovery - Fully funded at amount requested.
    • Chillicothe Livingston Co. Emergency Comms - Partially funded, allocated $16,000.00
    • St. Joseph Sheltering Children - Partially funded $380.00 specifically towards cost of Pack-and-Play items
    • Laredo Emergency Response - Not funded. Lowest score / ineligible.
    • Mo-Kan RPC was funded at 4% ($3,668.15)
    • Any remainders from these projects are to be allocated to supporting the Regional Incident Support Team initiative.
