Mo-Kan Coordinates Flood Meetings
Federal Agencies Will Be Available to Answer Questions
A meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 30th at 9:30 AM at the Savannah Fire District headquarters for residents, businesses and public entities impacted by recent Missouri River flooding. Agencies that plan to participate include the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Small Business Administration (SBA), the Missouri Department of Workforce Development, and the Missouri Department of Transportation.
“Communities along the Missouri River have suffered significant hardship. This meeting may be the first step in rebuilding homes and livelihoods,” said Tom Bliss with Mo-Kan Regional Council. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

The President has approved federal disaster aid for the state of Missouri to supplement the state and local recovery efforts in the area struck by flooding during the period of June 1 to August 1, 2011.
